'68 Camaro RS Original Interior

This '68 Camaro was brought to us by the original owner who recently had the bodywork restored. The car sat in the elements undriven for over ten years
and the interior looked it.

Our mission was to restore it to the way it looked when it rolled out of the showroom in '68.

We repadded and reupholstered the seats in the original red vinyl in the original stitching design.

The whole interior needed an overhaul.

The rear seat was also redone to match the fronts.

The molded deluxe door panels were also shot.

The entire door structure was replaced as original including the chrome trim, carpet bottoms, handles and emblem.

The console and dash also needed restoration.

We pulled the windshield, replaced the dash pad and the forward metal dash pan. We repainted the metal dash facia, steering column and console.

The floor carpet was worn, torn and mildewed.

It needed to be stripped down to the metal.

From years of water leakage, the floor pan was rusted.

The floor was scraped and rust painted. A layer of heat and sound reduction dynamat padding was then installed.

In addition to installing the correct, original, molded 80/20 carpet, we also supplied a matching set of custom floor mats with the Camaro logo.

The top had also seen better days. In fact, the back window was so fogged, you couldn't see out of it.

We installed a new, double texture, white vinyl convertible top and window. Clearly, a good choice.

To upgrade the stereo system, we hid a radio with CD player in the glove box, wired in a remote eye by the steering column to control it, and installed new, high output speakers hidden in the factory locations.

Let the good times roll again!
